When we see the majority of Muslims on Friday, they go for prayer, not on other days; however, being Muslims, we should pray five times daily, but still, some Muslims only go for the pay on Friday.

Our beloved prophet SAW almost 1500 years ago from abu Hurairah, our prophet, reminds us, ” the best day for all of us is Friday. Allah SWT created so many days, But the best day he chose is Friday jummah”.

Why is this day So essential for us? Why this day, allah SWT Says in the holy Quran.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.

SURAH AL-JUMUAH

Some of the authentic hadith given below is what dose our Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said about Friday (juma).

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he. was expelled from it.

Sahih Muslim, Book : 4, number 1856

Abu Huraira reported the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.

Abu Huraira has narrated a hadith like this that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: We are the last and would be the first on the Day of Resurrection.

  • Created first man Adam (AS). It was made on Friday.
  •  Adam (AS) was admitted into Jannah on Friday. The same day, Adam (AS) was expelled from Jannah in and out on Friday.
  •  Adam (AS) was sent down on this planet on Friday. And this is the day Allah forgives all the sins of Adam (AS).

How Long is Muslim Prayer on Friday

Do Muslims have a Prayer Day on Friday
